1.1 In the case of any customer who is an individual about whom Groenert Lordowner processed personal data (as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998) the following shall apply: 1.2 Groenert Lordowner may process personal data for the process of administering the relationship with the customer and as part of its use, may transfer the data to other Groenert Lordowner affiliates outside the UK which do not provide the same level of protection for personal data as exists in the UK. 1.3 The name, invoice address, delivery address and payment details that we collect from you allows us to process your order and allows us to monitor your order status. 1.4 The telephone number and e-mail address is collected from you to enable us to contact you if there are urgent problems with your order and contact you with delivery details when necessary. Occasionally, our courier may also be given your telephone numbers in cases of delivery problems. Your e-mail address is used for non-urgent problems. 1.5 Groenert Lordowner may also, from time to time, use such personal data to provide the customer, whether by phone, e-mail address and deliver address or other means of communications, with details of promotions, products and services of Groenert Lordowner. If you would rather not receive these emails, please contact us. 1.6 Groenert Lordowner may process customer information for the prevention or detection of fraud, and to deal with customer enquiries. 1.7 Groenert Lordowner may use credit scoring or carry out a credit check when considering the customer’s application and also when operating account(s) or making credit decisions or otherwise. 1.8 To help improve Groenert Lordowner service and in the interest of security it may monitor and or/record the customer’s call with it. 1.9 When you place orders or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you. 1.10 Cookies are small files that are placed by your browser on your hard drive. We may use cookies to track the behaviour of visitors to our site. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. 1.11 Groenert Lordowner does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. Also, Groenert Lordowner may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. |
